CCXC has formed various strategic alliances with well known international
financial institutions to enable joint actions on the domestic and international
capital market. The alliance structures ensure win-win situations for
partners on both ends that they strengthen CCXC’s capacity of capital
operation, and introduce foreign financial institutions into the Chinese
market. At the beginning of 2003, CCXC and Merrill Lynch entered into
an MOU of establishing long-term strategic alliance, according to which
the parties will provide joint advisory services in their Chinese investment
banking transactions including overseas listings, cross-border M&A
transactions, and NPL management. Recently, Merrill Lynch, BOCI and CCXC
act as joint advisor to North China Pharmaceutical Group Corporation in
its corporate restructuring program. To Merrill Lynch, this is its first
Chinese investment banking transaction and first co-operation with Chinese
investment banks.
Other strategic partners include Pasco International Financial Securities
L.L.C. (for IPOs on NASDAQ), Core Pacific Yamaichi and Tiffit Securities
(Hong Kong) Ltd. (for IPOs on HKSE), Deloitte Touche,JS Cresvale and NewCap Partners Inc.(for
corporate finance and M&A advisory services), and World Bank/International
